Sarasota artist Julie Trigg studied art and printmaking at The Art Students League, Parsons School of Design, and The New School in New York. After working for many years in watercolor, acrylic and pastels, most of her work in the past several months have been in oil.

She has won many awards, including the Grumbacher Silver Medallion award; First Place in the National Pen Women Art show in Miami and was selected as one of "30 Florida Women in Art" at Edison College in 1982.

Her work can be found in many public and private collections. She is a member of The Petticoat Painters of Sarasota, The Art Center Manatee, The Longboat Key Art Center and the Art Center of Sarasota as well as the Womens Contemporary Artists group.
